Grand Tour of Southern India & Kerala 20 Days 1-4. Bengaluru & Mysuru We board a direct overnight flight from London to Bengaluru, landing in Bengaluru on Day 2. On Day 3, we take a tour and make our way to Mysuru before exploring ornate palaces and temples on Day 4. Days 5-7. Nilgiri Mountains Arriving in Ooty, your afternoon is free to explore. Day 6 brings a guided tour of Ooty and a trip up Doddabetta Mountain. On Day 7, enjoy journeys on the Ooty toy train and the Nilgiri Mountain Railway. Days 8-11. Kochi & Kerala After a free morning in Coimbatore, we board the Intercity Express to Kochi. Day 9 sees us uncover Kochi on a tour, including India’s oldest synagogue, before enjoying a Kathakali dance performance. Day 10 brings a river cruise to our hotel. On Day 11, we take a guided walk through the scenic islands around the Vembanad Lake, before learning about traditional crafts. Days 12-14. Thekkady to Madurai We travel to Thekkady in the Ghat Mountains, staying in a recreation of a tribal village. We enjoy a boat ride in a wildlife sanctuary and on Day 13 we tour a spice plantation, then transfer to Madurai, where we enjoy a guided tour on Day 14. Day 15. Exploring Chennai This morning, we take a short flight to Chennai and embark on a tour, visiting its monuments and temples and the city’s flower market. Days 16 & 17. Homeward bound There’s free time to explore Chennai this morning before we transfer to the airport.
