Day 1. Flight to Johannesburg
Your exceptional discovery of South 
Africa begins as we board an overnight 
flight from London to Johannesburg.
Days 2 & 3. Pretoria & Rovos Rail
After landing in Johannesburg, we are 
transferred to our hotel in Pretoria. 
The morning of Day 3 is at leisure, 
before we embark on our 12-night 
journey aboard Rovos Rail. Staying 
in luxurious, air-conditioned private 
suites, enjoy five-star service with all 
meals and drinks included throughout.
Days 4 & 5. Kruger National Park.
As we travel towards Kruger National 
Park, enjoy views of the rolling hills 
of Mpumalanga province passing by. 
On Day 5, we experience a sunrise 
drive in Kruger National Park. The 
largest park in South Africa and one 
of the world’s most renowned, all the 
Big Five animals can be found here.
Days 6 & 7. Eswatini & Hluhluwe
This morning, we arrive in the 
Kingdom of Eswatini, where we

YOUR ITINERARY
visit the Swazi Candles Centre and  
fascinating Mantenga Cultural Village. 
On Day 7, we enjoy a visit to Hluhluwe 
– the oldest nature reserve in Africa.
Days 8 & 9. Durban & Nambiti
Arriving in Durban, we enjoy a tour 
followed by a beachfront lunch. On 
Day 9, we continue by rail to Spionkop 
Lodge, at the base of the Drakensberg 
Mountains, before embarking on 
a wildlife drive in Nambiti, another 
chance to spot incredible wildlife.
Days 10 & 11. To Bloemfontein
Today, we drive through the 
magnificent Golden Gate Highlands 
National Park, with a quick stop in 
Clarens, in the foothills of the Maluti 
mountains. Arriving in Bloemfontein 
on Day 11, we are taken on a tour 
and visit the Women’s Memorial at 
the Anglo-Boer War Museum. 
Day 12. Visiting Addo Elephant Park
We enjoy a wildlife drive in open-top 
vehicles today at Addo Elephant Park, 
home to roughly 600 elephants.
Days 13 & 14. Fancourt Estate
This morning, we enjoy a lagoon ferry 
trip in Knysna, then transfer to the 
five-star Fancourt Hotel for the night. 
After a lavish breakfast on Day 14, we 
transfer to Oudtshoorn, home to the 
world’s largest population of ostriches, 
then continue to the Cango Caves.
Days 15-18. Exploring Cape Town 
Disembarking the Pride of Africa, we 
check in to our Cape Town hotel. We 
tour Cape Point and the Cape of Good 
Hope on Day 16, where we ride the 
Flying Dutchman funicular and spot 
a penguin colony at Boulders Beach. 
Touring Robben Island on Day 17, we 
learn about Nelson Mandela’s life and 
imprisonment, then take a cable car 
ride to the top of Table Mountain. On 
Day 18, we visit Africa’s great wine-
producing areas for wine tasting and a 
braai lunch, before transferring to the 
airport for our overnight flight home.
Day 19. Homeward bound
Landing in London Heathrow, your 
grand tour of South Africa concludes.
