Banff and Jasper national parks
Cruising into the mist 
of the majestic Niagara Falls
From the Pacific Ocean setting of Vancouver to Toronto 
beside the Great Lakes, this Canadian holiday crosses this 
vast country on Rocky Mountaineer and VIA Rail’s Canadian.
Days 1 & 2. Arriving in Vancouver 
Boarding a flight to Vancouver, we 
arrive in the early evening. We enjoy 
a guided sightseeing tour on Day 2, 
visiting Gastown, Vancouver’s original 
downtown, before before heading to 
Stanley Park and Granville Island. 
Day 3. Boarding Rocky Mountaineer
Early this morning, we transfer to the 
train station, ready for a spectacular 
journey aboard Rocky Mountaineer. 
In panoramic carriages, we wind our 
way through dense forests and fertile 
fields, enjoying a three-course lunch at 
our seats and watching out for wildlife. 
Disembarking in Kamloops, we check 
in to our hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 4. Travelling to Banff
The Canadians Rockies continue to 
inspire awe as we continue east on 
Rocky Mountaineer. With breakfast 
and lunch served onboard, we can 
sit back and marvel at the beautiful 
sights. After climbing the dramatic 
Kicking Horse Pass and twisting 
through the magnificent Spiral 
Wonders of Canada 
& Rocky Mountaineer

YOUR ITINERARY
Tunnels, we arrive in the mountain 
town of Banff, where you have a free 
evening to explore independently.
Day 5. Emerald Lake & Lake Louise
Today’s destinations include the 
glacial Emerald Lake, named for its 
remarkable colour, and Lake Louise, 
framed by towering snow-capped 
mountains. This picture-perfect lake 
has become a symbol of the region, 
but is even more impressive in person.
Day 6. The Icefields Parkway
Leaving Banff by coach, we travel 
along the scenic Icefields Parkway, 
passing beautiful lakes and pristine 
pine forests before stoping to marvel 
at the otherworldly Athabasca Glacier 
and ride over the ice field in a giant, 
all-terrain Snocoach. Before arriving 
in Jasper, we make a short stop at the 
thundering Athabasca Falls.
Day 7. Jasper National Park
You have a free day to explore Jasper 
National Park, home to stunning 
landscapes and native wildlife. In the 
evening, you can join an excursion to 
the remarkable Jasper Planetarium.
Days 8-11. VIA Rail’s epic Canadian 
Boarding the iconic Canadian train, we 
settle in for a three-night ride across 
Canada to Toronto. We admire views 
of vast Saskatchewan on Day 9 before 
crossing the Canadian Shield on Day 
10, keeping our eyes peeled for deer, 
eagles and, in select areas, antelope, 
moose and bison. The views change 
from mountains to suburban scenes 
as we arrive in Toronto on Day 11. 
 
Day 12. Spectacular Niagara Falls 
Today is a tour highlight as we enjoy a 
day trip to the incredible Niagara Falls. 
On a cruise, we get closer to one of 
the world’s most impressive natural 
sights, before we admire the falls from 
above at Table Rock. Afterwards, we 
visit Niagara on the Lake and explore 
its quaint streets before returning to 
Toronto for a free evening.
Days 13 & 14. Homeward bound
After a free time in Toronto, we board 
a flight to London, landing on Day 14.
